Here is another sliding barn door project we recently completed. It is a herringbone shiplap pattern, measuring at 83″ high by 54″ wide. It is based off our plans of our free herringbone shiplap barn door plans.

This barn door is two-sided, meaning it should look the same from the inside or outside. Given that, I wanted to have spacing on both sides between each piece of shiplap. So I wound up having to alternate the shiplap for every board and having the boards “float” instead of the laps pressing completely tight against each other. It was a little more time consuming than just sliding all of the pieces together, but I think the end effect was worth it.
