I saw this piece at a friend’s house, and was quite intrigued. It is a very simple piece, but beautiful as well. From the side the mitered corners along with the carefully matched grain, give the appearance of a solid wood piece. However upon closer inspection from the ends it is evident that this table is many pieces of wood laminated together. I also love the simplicity of the sawhorse-esque 2×4 legs. Quite an elegantly understated piece that I may look to replicate in my own home in the near future.
I drew up a set of DIY sofa table plans for what I feel is a very close replica for to this piece. I’d love to see how it turns out if any of our readers attempt to replicate this piece. If you do, make certain to share your build, as we’d love to see the results.
