This pallet wood sofa table was built using simple, tried and true construction methods that should last a life time. The top is constructed of reclaimed pallet wood, all edged and planed to be completely flat and square on all four sides. We used loose tenon joinery to provide extra stability when we edge glued the top boards together, and for connecting the breadboard ends – this means the table shouldn’t ever warp, twist, or split. The top was finished with a golden oak stain, and then a few coats of wax to provide a nice luster without appearing too shiny or glossy. Of course, since it is wax it will need some care and re-application over the years, but we love the look.
The legs and base of this pallet wood sofa table were admittedly made from big-box store materials, but were all assembled with pocket screws and wood glue. They were then painted with white chalk paint, and distressed.
Of course these reclaimed pallet wood sofa table can be customized in height, width, length and finish to suit your needs and your style – and we would be happy to discuss options for a custom piece made just for you.
