Air compressor cart storage

I finally found something that I wanted to store on at least one side of my air compressor cart – my 90° clamps! I added the adjustable rollers to the top shortly after I first built the cart, which made it great as an outfeed table or side support for multiple tools around the shop. When I made this air compressor cart I always planned for it to be an extra mobile assembly assistant, and I’ve been using it as that a lot over the last few months. As I’ve been cleaning out and reorganizing my garage workshop, I started finding the right homes for a lot of my tools. I’ve been trying to keep the right tools close to the right stations, and having these 90° clamps on the side of this cart is a handy location for me.

I didn’t really have to make any major modifications or do any significant work to store these clamps here. Though since the rods of the clamps are 1/4″ in diameter, I did have to drill out the 1/4″ holes on the pegboard so 9/32″ to allow them to easily slide in. They sit in there snug enough where they won’t fall out as I’m rolling the cart around, or even as the compressor is vibrating the cart.

All-in-all, I think this was a quick win in the shop organization and efficiency categories. If you want to build a similar cart, check out the plans for this air compressor cart. You can also find plans for a lot of other useful jigs and accessories in the Tools and Workshop section of our site.
