Black Cat Halloween Decorations – scrap wood project

I love finding new crafts and projects to use up some of the scrap wood laying around my garage shop. These black cat Halloween decorations are quick and easy, and can be made with a hand saw or a jig saw. Having a square helps, as I cut the ears at 45° angles; but you can also just eyeball them if you don’t have a square.

I made my black cat Halloween decorations in a few different sizes to make it look like a family. The larger cat is made from 1×4 scrap and is about 10″ tall. The two smaller ones are made from scrap 1×3 boards, and are about 7″ and 5″ tall. We used some craft paint to paint the cats and then tied some raffia around them to look like the whiskers and these black cat Halloween decorations were ready to scare some evil spirits away!
